Tour Details

Austria is a gem of Europe and on this 7 day trip you can experience it in all its beauty. You will be visiting the cities of Vienna and Salzburg to capture olden scenes of the Hapsburg Empire in Vienna as you visit palaces, museums, parliament, and more. When you go over to Danube Valley, you can dive right into their culture and food with a visit to Melk Abbey and lunch at a local restaurant. Then you’ll hop over the Salzburg, “Mozart Town”, where you can see his residence and the captivating nature landscapes that sweep across your eyes. This is the town where Mozart was town and lived that some say you can hear “The Magical Flute” and the “Sound of Music” as you walk through the city. You’ll also pass by Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque aspects of the city in addition to beautiful lakes and the snow-capped mountains of the Bavarian Alps.

Weather and Climate

Austria is located in a temperate climate zone, and experiences all four seasons, each having their own typical temperature and characteristics. The eastern region of the country experiences low precipitation, hot summers but only moderately cold winters. Alpine regions are home to high precipitation (except inner Alpine valley regions such as the upper Inntal), short summers and long winters.

Day 1 :

Vienna Today, you begin your adventure in Austria. After you arrive, you will greeted by an airport transfer and English speaking driver to help you check in to your hotel and give you your welcome package to Vienna.

Day 2 :

Vienna - 6 hour city tour You’ll go on a 6 hour tour of Vienna today. You’ll hit all of the most significant sights like the MAK, Museum of Fine Arts, State Opera House, Museums Quarter, Parliament, City Hall, the Habsburg winter residence the Hofburg, and more.

Day 3 :

Vienna - ½ day Kunsthistorisches tour Today will be a full of cultural fulfillment as you visit a fine art museum with a studied art historian who will guide you through the museum and tell you its history and the significance of the pieces. The Kunsthistorisches is world renowned and houses a large collection of Habsburg Imperial items and 16th and 17th century grand master paintings.

Day 4 :Vienna - Salzburg

Head on your transfer to Salzburg where you’ll make on stop at the world renowned Danube Valley where you can eat a 3 course meal at a local restaurant for some local tastes and then visit Melk Abbey, a grand Benedictine monastery. You’ll arrive at Salzburg in the late afternoon.

Day 5 :Salzburg - 2 hour city tour, 4 hour Salzkammergut Lake tour

Welcome to the home of Mozart! You’ll pass by important buildings like the Mozart Residence and other historical buildings. And, then, you’ll visit the the lake district for breaktaking views of the lake, the hunting castle Fuschl, and the famous winged Gothic altar by Michael Pacher. Depending on the season, you may take a boat to St. Gilgen.

Day 6 :Salzburg - ½ Day bavarian Alps Tour

Today, you’ll pass through the Bavarian Alps to visit the former residence of Hitler, pass by Castle Hellbrunn, and drive along the Konigsee Ache to ascend to the Obersalzberg. The views of the valley, farmland, and Echo Lake. If you choose the visit Eagle’s Nest, you can ask to include this as part of the tour.

Day 7 :Salzburg

It is the last day of your trip, enjoy Salzburg while you are still here before preparing for your flight back home.
