Tour Details

Take a journey around Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for an adventure around the Alps. Beginning in Munich, you’ll get the best of both worlds exploring the city but also go paragliding amongst the mountains. Then, you’ll go to south Austria where you’ll go white water rafting in through the valley after visiting the alpine city of Innsbruck. Then, make your way to Lucerne for scenic views of the jungfraujoch, take boat rides on Mt. Lucerne to see Mount Pilatus. Then, you’ll end your trip with another tour of a city but this time you’ll end in Zurich, Germany. This 10 day trip will bring out the adventure in you as you do some heavy exploring of the Bavarian Alps and then rest comfortably at premium locations. Don’t forget to enjoy the wonderful food and beer you’ll taste on the way as well.

Weather and Climate

The Alps cause many climatic variations throughout Switzerland. In the higher Alpine regions temperatures tend to be low, while the lower land of the northern area has higher temperatures and warm summers. Overall the hottest months are July and August, though these are also the busiest. Those looking to ski should visit Switzerland between December and April, when snow is good in the Alps. The months of May and September are great times to visit for those looking for sunny and mild days, but without the throngs of tourists.

Day 1 :Munich - ½ Day Walking Tour

Arrive in the beautiful town of Munich and check in to your hotel, before heading out to journey through the well traveled streets to eat at the bustling cafes and world famous beer halls. Today, you’ll have the time to yourself to visit what you want to see and eat where you want. The city is full of excitement and history.

Day 2 :Munich - 8 Hour paragliding in the Alps

Eat a hearty breakfast today, cause today’s schedule is jam-packed. Today, you are going paragliding in the Bavarian Alps with a certified Tandem Piloten as you soar hundreds of feet in the air for the best panoramic views. Then, you’ll visit the spi resort of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a town formed for the Winter olympics in 1935.

Day 3 :Munich - Innsbruck - (2 Hours) 2.5 hour walking tour

After a transfer to Innsbruck, the city that has hosted the Winter Olympics twice in 1964 and 1976, you can still see the remnants of those golden days: the two flames and the iconic Olympic rings. Today is up to your own discretion to relax or explore.

Day 4 :Innsbruck - 5 hour white water rafting

Today, you are going white water rafting in Stubai Valley. After a safety presentation, you’re getting straight into the raft where the Ruetz River is smooth, comfortable, and beautiful before the water picks up speed and your adrenaline kicks in. It will be a day of good fun and activity with your fellow rafters.

Day 5 :Innsbruck- Lucerne - (6 hour)

On your transfer, you’ll make a stop at Vaduz for two hours to stroll through the city center and pass by the Art Museum, National Museum, Parliament, and Cathedral. Then, you’ll continue to Lucerne, where you can check in to your hotel and relax before heading in for the night.

Day 6 :Lucerne - 2 hour walking tour, 6 hour Mt Pilatus boat ride

Today, you’re going to stroll across the Chapel Bridge and Mill Bridge to see the “Dance of Death” paintings. Then, you’ll have time to see the famous Musegg Wall, visit Town Hall, and revel the Lion Monument. You will also have the option to visit the Swiss Transport Museum for all things transportation.

Day 7 :Lucerne - Interlaken (2 hours) ½ day Trummelbach Waterfalls tour

After your train transfer to Interlaken, you’ll embark on a half day tour of Trummelbach waterfalls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are a series of 10 glacier waterfalls which crashes 20,000 litres of water per second down which can be seen from the numerous lookouts and saves.

Day 8 :Interlaken - 8 hour excursion to Jungfraujoch

Get ready for a self-guided excursion to the Bernese Alps. Walk to Interlaken Ost station and aboard a train to Waterfall Valley of Lauterbrunnen to transfer 2.5 hours to Jungfraujoch surrounded by stunning scenery. Then, you can visit the Ice palace and Sphinx Terraces to overlook the gorgeous Aletsch Glacier. After a meal, return down to Grindelwald, a village known for winter sports.

Day 9 :Interlaken - Zurich - (2 hours) 2 hour walking tour

After your transfer, you’ll go on your walking tour of Zurich to see the business district, window shop through the shopping district, visit the Old Town, and relax along the lake. There are opportunities to shop and visit Fraumaster to see Chagall’s stained glass church windows.

Day 10 :Zurich

Your journey end in Zurich today. Get your souvenirs and grab your last bites of Swiss delights before heading to your flight home.
