You’ll view water buffalo as they work the farmland, watch children float to school on homemade rafts, and marvel at the architecture of regions developed centuries ago. This 9 day trip will take you to the landmark attractions and all the must sees in the cities of Beijing, Xian, Yangshuo, and Shanghai like Forbidden City, the Shanghai Museum, and the Sister Liu Show. Throughout your trip, you will learn about Chinese culture and history in addition to indulging in Chinese cuisine and delicacies. China has very distinct personalities and on this journey you will be able to experience all of them from the busy city to the serene nature side. Enjoy exploring this amazing country as you stay to top notch hotels and bring home with you memories for a lifetime and the souvenirs to go with it.

Weather, Seasons and Climate

China
Although the climate varies from region to region, the summers here are typically hot and dry, and winters can get extremely cold. September and October are the best times to travel, as the weather is typically the mildest.

Day 1 :Beijing (airport meet and greet)

Welcome to China! Your private guide will assist you in getting your luggage, before introducing you to your driver.

Day 2 :Beijing (Half-Day Tour)

Today you’ll enjoy a half-day private tour of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, before being treated to a delicious Chinese lunch. Built in 1417, the Square is one of the oldest surviving remnants of the Ming Dynasty, and actually operated as the “front door” to the Forbidden City!

Day 3 :Beijing (Half-Day Tour)

Today, your private guide will escort you to the Great Wall at Mutianyu- prominent piece of scenery located some 45 minutes northeast of the city. This military construction is approximately eight meters high, and five meters thick! Later, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 4 :Beijing - Xi’an (Two Hour Flight)

Your driver will meet you at the hotel to transfer you to the airport, where you’ll board your plane for the quick two hour flight to Xian. Upon arrival, your private guide will take you on a half-day tour to visit the famous Terra Cotta Warriors, before providing a delicious meal.

Day 5 :Xi’an - Guilin - Yangshuo (1.5 hour flight, 1.5 hour vehicle transfer)

Today you will fly from Xi’an to Guilin- a journey only about one and a half hours long. You will then be transferred to Yangshuo via private vehicle. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a deluxe local dinner, before viewing the renowned Sister Liu Show- a production created by Oscar winning playwright Zhang Yimou.

Day 6 :Yangshuo (Full Day Tour)

Enjoy a full-day hike along the Li River on this immersive tour. Your journey includes several hours of walking, river ferries, and even a short cruise. You’ll relish the region’s quiet beauty and sanctitude.

Day 7 :Yangshuo- Guilin- Shanghai (1.5 hour vehicle transfer, 2.5 hour flight)

Today you’ll drive from Yangshuo to Guilin airport, before a 2.5 hour flight to the bustling city of Shanghai. The rest of the day will be free time to explore as you wish.

Day 8 :Shanghai (Full Day Tour)

Today you’ll enjoy the Shanghai Museum, the Jade Buddha Temple, and the Yu Gardens. The Museum houses almost 120,000 precious relics, and the Temple and Gardens are two of the most visited spots in the entire city- famous for their architecture and rich cultural history. A delicious lunch will also be provided.

Day 9 :Shanghai (Airport transfer home)

Your time in China has come to an end! Your driver will transfer you to your hotel, where you’ll begin your journey home.
